Lanzo d'Intelvi it is a town of 1447 inhabitants and extends over an area of 1004 hectares at an altitude of 907 meters above sea level. The first traces of human presence date back to prehistory, while the two Avelli boulders that were found in the area of Scaria they date back to the 2nd-3rd century BC. The municipality participated in the ten-year war between How and Milan siding with the former, and later passed into the hands of various feudal families, including the Rusca, the Marliani and the Riva Andreotti.
Giuseppe Mazzini went there several times to organize the expedition against the Austrians together with Andrea Brenta, which ended with the latter's shooting.
 
Ramponio Verna it is a town of 461 inhabitants located at an altitude of 667 meters above sea level. It covers an area of 492 hectares and was born from the union of the municipalities of Ramponio And Verna, which occurred in 1928.
It is difficult to establish the etymology of the name of this town, since in some medieval documents it is attested with the name of “Repugnance”.
Traces of human settlements date back to pre-Roman times and the town, like many others in the area, was assigned as a fiefdom to various families of the time, among which the names of the Rusca, the Marliani and the Riva Andreotti appear.
 
Pellio d'Intelvi it is a town of 977 inhabitants, it extends over an area of 999 hectares at an altitude of 750 meters above sea level and was born from the union of Inferior Pellium And Superior Pellium. There is not much information from the prehistoric period, but the presence of a human settlement in the Middle Ages is well demonstrated by the remains of an ancient fortified building. The town passed into the hands of various feudal families, among which we find the Camuzzi, the Rusca, the Marliani and the Riva Andreotti. Almost all the male inhabitants of the municipality were experts in construction and this was responsible for the presence of a large number of decorations and embellishments on the buildings of the town.
Since January 2017 the largest municipality of has been created Upper Intelvi Valley of which it is part together with Ramponio Verna And Pellio Intelvi.
