1. COOKIES

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are information that a server can send to your computer, smartphone or tablet, when you visit a website or social network. The same server that transmitted them can then read and record the cookies, to obtain various types of information.

What type are they and what are they for?

Cookies can be:
  • Technicians: they serve to make navigation faster and are used, for example, to save the contents of a shopping cart in an online store, to memorize the choice of language of a site or to simplify payment operations via home banking;
  • Profiling: they are used to monitor users while browsing. They record information on what you buy or might want to buy, analyzing your readings and preferences. In this way they offer information to personalize the advertising sent to you based on your tastes, choices, preferences and lifestyles. Have you ever searched for information on your next trip destination on Google, only to find promotional offers on that destination on Facebook? Now, that's a proliferation cookie.
  • Third party: it may happen that on a web page there are cookies from other sites, which are contained in other elements (such as the Facebook share button, or a YouTube video integrated into a web page). Thus the cookies you download can be read by other parties and used for profiling.
On this site I use technical and third-party cookies, and no type of profiling cookies.

2. MONITORING OF SITE NAVIGATION DATA

We are interested in offering - day after day - a better service, which is why this site uses Google Analytics to understand how many people browse the site, how they do it and what topics they prefer to read. Google Analytics is a free service offered by Google: on this site it is set up in such a way as to make it yours anonymous IP address. The data collected is stored on Google's servers, which may decide to give them to third parties: know that if this happens, all this will happen in anonymous and aggregate form. For further information you can directly read theprivacy policy and use of Google Analytics data. If you do not want to appear among the visitors of this site you can make yourself invisible by downloading this add-on for Google Analytics.

3. COMMENTS ON BLOG POSTS

At the end of each post you have the opportunity to leave a comment. This site manages comments through WordPress, which is owned by the company Valle Intelvi Tourism. If you are interested, you can read how and which cookies Valle Intelvi Turismo uses.

4. SOCIAL NETWORKS

This site uses buttons at the end of each post that give you the opportunity to share what you have just read on social networks. These buttons, inside them, contain cookies and for this reason they are called third-party cookies. We are not aware of how third parties will use the information that the social buttons have transmitted to them. They could use this information for retargeting, which is why you may see an advertisement on Facebook for something you just searched for or shared. If you want to learn more, these are the privacy policies of the respective social networks:

5. USE OF PERSONAL DATA

This site has a Contact form. If you write to us, we use your data (email address) to respond to you. This data remains saved in our mail management software and on our site's server. We are the owners of this data, which we do not transfer or sell to anyone.
