Cerano d'Intelvi it is a municipality of 557 inhabitants, called Ceranesi, located 630 meters above sea level. It covers an area of 555 hectares. At the beginning of the 12th century it participated in the clashes of the ten-year war between How and Milan and then passed under the lordship of various feudal families including those of the Camozzi, the Rusconi and the Marliani.
The lands of this municipality were governed by Gian Giacomo de Medici during the sixteenth century and currently the town is part of the community Lario-Intelvese.
