Tradition, nature and glamour meet to tell the story of an exclusive destination, capable of enchanting visitors all year round. An invitation to discover a valley that reinvents itself, transforming itself into a trendy tourist destination
The Intelvi Valley was the protagonist at the Como Book Fair. Thursday 29 August from 11.00 to 12.00, in the new Don Ferrante Library area, in Piazza Cavour, Matteo Augustoni, President of Valle Intelvi Turismo, together with the project manager responsible for the Borghi tender, Concetta Pugliese and the Mayor of Centro Valle Intelvi and President of the Comunità Montana Lario Intelvese, Mario Pozzi, described a Valley that is much more than a simple tourist destination: it is a world in itself, where tradition and innovation meet to create a unique experience, all year round.
When you think of the Intelvi Valley, you immediately imagine the scagliola and those artists who have conquered the world with their mastery, the vast cultural and sacred heritage, but also the natural wonders such as the village of Erbonne, Orimento and the walk to Monte Generoso with the suggestive Grotta dell'Orso. The Sentiero delle Espressioni, with its works of art sculpted in nature, in Schignano and the Balcone d'Italia in Sighignola. The Intelvi Valley is also a paradise for outdoor lovers, with walks and paths to explore on foot or by bike; and, for those looking for an unforgettable view, there is the Pigra cable car that connects the lake, the Municipality of Argegno with the Valley from which you can see breathtaking views. Let's not forget the picturesque village of Dizzasco, famous for its "invasion of the donkeys", a tradition that enchants visitors of all ages and, sliding towards Lake Ceresio, the Borgo Dipinto in Claino with Osteno.
The Intelvi Valley, a new alternative tourist destination to Lake Como, open all year round. After a period of stalemate, thanks to the vision of the municipal administrations and the collaboration with experts in the tourism sector, the Valley has returned to shine. The Tourist Association, in synergy with the feelings of the Mayors, is working tirelessly to repopulate the villages and attract new energy. With this in mind, the Municipality of Centro Valle Intelvi, together with Cerano Intelvi and Schignano, has won an important PNRR tender to redevelop the territory, focusing on a new, young and dynamic economy. The goal is clear: to transform the Intelvi Valley into a trendy destination, ready to welcome glamorous and lifestyle tourism.
