Chiesa di San Michele - Pellio d'Intelvi
Consecrated in 1610, the church stands near the cemetery and underwent frequent renovations which resulted in its current configuration. The building is divided into three naves and culminates with the bell tower, set back from the edge of the right nave, with a plastered scarp base and the upper part in regular stone ashlars. Inside, the left nave houses the baptismal font, the altar of Saint Anthony and the scagliola pulpit by Paolo Caprani while the right nave houses, inside the altar of the Blessed Virgin of Purification, the statue in painted wood from the eighteenth century which is carried in procession through the streets of the village on the first Sunday of February. In correspondence with the presbytery there is a sixteenth-century marble tabernacle and an altarpiece by Carlo Innocenzo Carloni depicting "the Presentation of the Child in the Temple and the Purification of the Virgin" while the vault houses the "triumph of Saint Michael" painted by Carlo Scotti. Finally, in the building you can also observe the figurines of Ercole Ferrata, made of olive wood and depicting Saint James, Saint Peter, Saint Paul, the Madonna of the Rosary, Saint Andrew, Saint John the Evangelist and Saint John the Baptist.
