The “Path of Poetic Totems”, organized by the APPACuVI association, in the Municipality of Centro Valle Intelvi is an itinerary in five stages of great historical, poetic and landscape value, named as follows:
1) “Garden of the Righteous”, poetic work by Tiziana Monari “The October wind”
2) “Jardin des écoliers”, poetic work by Andrea Salvatore Migliore “Shards of war”
3) “The awakening of consciences”, poetic work by Sergio Orlando (1939-2020) “Viandanti”
4) “The dream of freedom”, poetic work by Salvatore Quasimodo “Man of my time”
5) “Memorial”, poetic work by Rosa Maria Corti “I have only poor words”
Work of the wood sculptor Luca Galli "Verna", these wooden totems in "plein air" aim to dialogue directly with the visitor, in full harmony with the theme of the First Intelvese Poetry Competition entitled "Paths of war for a journey of peace". In their stripped verticality, the Totems, in fact, recall the figure of the soldier, stripped of his humanity, who tells of the inhumanity of war, the anguish of life in the trenches (shreds of fences, nails, shell casings...), the sense of fragility , of the precariousness of life and the desire for peace (wing, dove, the balloons of children who entrust their supplications to the sky, eyes with tears, ...).
