LAST SUMMER CULTURAL APPOINTMENT with Brian Subinaghi

Saturday 24th August at 10:30am we will take you to discover the village and the churches of Lanzo Intelvi.

We will start from the centuries-old history of the Parish Church of San Siro, which ranges from the 16th century presbytery, through the baroque riches of the side chapels, up to the neoclassical age. With a panoramic walk through the village, we will see external votive frescoes at the Novi and Canevali residences, the main families of Lanzo. Along the way we will discover the excellence of the early twentieth century villas present in the village, which will lead us towards the Sanctuary of the Madonna of Loreto and of the Black Madonna, the only sacred building dedicated to this cult in the Valley, where great Intelvi art, culture, history, tradition and faith merge.
