Chiesa di Sant'Abbondio

Built around the end of the 16th century, the parish church of Sant'Abbondio underwent renovations which modified its original configuration with a single nave and apse covered by a painted vault. Already in the following century the side chapels were added: the one on the right dedicated to the Madonna and the one on the left dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Almost all of the decorative and pictorial structure dates back to 1660: the original imprint of inspiration is still visible today Morazzonian of the fresco with the Glory of Sant'Abbondio. Finally, the expansion of the apse area with the addition of two large rooms dates back to the early 1900s. Externally the building has plastered and painted walls and the façade is enriched by an architraved prothyrum with serizzo columns and pilasters.
