COF Lanzo Hospital is preparing to offer support to patients and caregivers on the occasion of National Parkinson's Day, scheduled for Saturday, November 30, 2024. The Alta Valle Intelvi hospital is organizing, again this year, an event dedicated to those who wish to deepen their knowledge of the disease, providing useful information and specialist advice. With this initiative, COF Lanzo Hospital is positioning itself as a point of reference for the community, underlining the importance of awareness and assistance for those living with Parkinson's. The initiative is part of a network of over one hundred specialized centers throughout the country and aims to provide patients and their families with accurate information on the disease, thanks to the collaboration with the Fondazione LIMPE per il Parkinson Onlus.
For some time now, the Alta Valle Intelvi Hospital, through Rehabilitation 1, has opened an outpatient clinic dedicated to movement disorders, directed by neurologist Maria Ernesta Leone, a member of the Italian Society LIMPE-DISMOV. During the week of National Parkinson's Day, from November 25 to 30, Dr. Leone will be available to meet free of charge with people interested in better understanding the disease and their state of health. These meetings will be a valuable opportunity to receive personalized visits and information on Parkinson's.
To participate in the free visits, it is necessary to make an appointment by contacting Alice Galeni at 031.843554, from 10 am to 12 pm, from Monday to Friday. All participants will also be provided with information material prepared by the LIMPE Foundation.
