Feast of San Giovanni

The traditional Feast of San Giovanni for the 2024 edition it will be held on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June.
The evocative scenery framed by the Comacina Island and the village of Ossuccio will welcome the oldest of the Como events of the Municipality of Tremezzina which, combining art, cult and folklore, will celebrate the events that marked the history not only of the municipal territory, but also of the territory provincial and regional.
JUNE 22, 2024On the evening of June 22nd, from 7.00 pm, the municipal park in the Ossuccio area will host the gastronomic-dancing evening, organized thanks to the collaboration of the Tremezzina Tourist Association.
At 10.30 pm the traditional fireworks-musical show and the re-enactment of the fire on the island will be held. The “Zoca de L'Oli” will therefore light up with colors with the most awaited event of the summer season for the center of Lake Como.
JUNE 23, 2024The events will continue on Sunday, June 23, with the solemn procession around the Comacina Island:
– 9.30 am departure from the hamlet of Campo in Località Lenno and transfer to the island by motorboat (free participation)
– 11.00 celebration of the Holy Mass in the archaeological area of the basilica of Sant'Eufemia Loc. Ossuccio.
The "Vittorio Veneto" Musical Corps will serve and at the end the event will end with the performance of the Fanfare of the 3rd Carabinieri Regiment Lombardy-Milan
-7.00pm gastronomic evening - dancing at the municipal park in Ossuccio
REGINA STATE ROAD CLOSURE
On the evening of Saturday 22nd, the Regina state road will be closed to traffic in the Argegno – Lenno section (at the fuel station) from 8.00 pm to 12.00 am.
FREE SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE
A free shuttle service will be available from Menaggio to Lenno. Timetables will be published soon.
PASS FOR RESIDENTS
Throughout the day of Saturday 22 June residents will be able to travel on municipal roads.
Residents can request PASSes for access to privately owned car parks in Loc. Ossuccio. The PASSES will be correlated to the n. of owned parking spaces actually available.
It will be necessary to show the passes to the staff in charge of traffic control present in the area starting from the morning of June 22nd in order to access the private parking space.
In the next few days, all the information for the PASS request procedure will be published.
SPECIAL TRANSIT PASS

CAR AND MOTORCYCLE SPACE RESERVATIONS FOR NON-RESIDENTS
For non-residents it is possible to book car and motorbike spaces directly online on the Tremezzina Tourist Association website www.tremezzinatourism.com
