The Trippata of Casasco d'Intelvi: a celebration of flavor, tradition and solidarity.

On Saturday 24 August 2024, the Penne Nere and the Pro Loco of #casascodintelvi invite you to the historic #sagradellatrippa. Starting at 6:30 pm, the village will transform into a meeting point for all lovers of traditional cuisine, ready to taste over two quintals of tripe prepared with love and dedication by volunteers and local #Alpini.

Born in the Seventies from the initiative of the “Amici della Trippa”, it has become an unmissable event to rediscover one of the oldest and tastiest recipes of Lombard gastronomy. The festival takes place in the former Town Hall and is prepared with a modern three-hundred-liter “culdera” that guarantees respect for the recipes handed down for generations.

In addition to tasting the delicious tripe, participants will be able to contribute to an important charitable cause: the proceeds of the event will be donated to solidarity works.

“The first trippate, over fifty years ago,” comments Giulio Zanotta, Secretary of the Alpine Association of the Valle d'Intelvi, “were the beginning of a tradition that has strengthened over time, becoming a point of reference for the community. For the Alpine troops of Casasco d'Intelvi, strong in their ties to local traditions, the Sagra della Trippa is an opportunity to celebrate the culture of food and the sense of belonging to their land.”

Alongside tripe, there will be other grilled specialties, for a menu that will satisfy all palates. A perfect opportunity to close the summer gastronomic events of the Intelvi Valley in style.
