Lenght: 5.8 km - Difference in altitude max: 620 m (- 160 m) - Duration: h 2
DESCRIPTION BY ASSOCIAZIONE AMICI DI PIGRA
The route, starting from the square of the Workers' Association (m. 890 asl), up to Corniga is easy and twists and turns through forests of chestnut and beech trees; after about 100 meters there is the chapel of the Madonna del Soccorso and, nearby, one of the seven crosses.
The watering hole called "Bread Half Sea" is very interesting, pass it and you'll reach the crossroads of Terman, where you will have to proceed right downhill towards the Lomia huts. You cross, then, the stream Camoggia (called "Mill" from pigresi) and continuing uphill, you reach the few houses of Serta (m.830 above sea level) and, after That, Corniga (m.760 above sea level). This was an ancient village of shepherds and smugglers, Whose houses and barns sono stati recently restored preserving the characteristic stone walls and cobbled streets. The small church dedicated to St. Anne with porch is delicious, and dated 1631, located behind it there is the nevera. From Corniga you can go to the Alpe of Colonno (m.1322 asl) in about an hour and a half along a sunny and very scenic dirt track through the village of Solasco. (It Should be Noted That the difference in height between Corniga and Alpe of Colonno is about 600 m.)
