Situated in the hamlet of Auvrascio, in addition to the church the complex of Our Lady of the Assumption includes the parish house built next to the southern elevation, the plastered and painted bell tower on the northern elevation, the cemetery and the Stations of the Cross. The interior space is divided into three naves and a square presbytery from which the bell tower was once accessed. Behind the presbytery there is the ancient chapel of the confraternity that is now the sacristy. The church preserves interesting examples of Lombard art. It is surely worth mentioning the scagliola plaster frontal piece, the wooden statue of Our Lady of the Assumption and the painting depicting the “Virgin of the Rosary” by Pietro Ferrabosco. The plastered and painted facade is finely decorated and has a stone base and portals. The view of Lake Como from the eastern elevation is magnificent. In front of the church there are the chapels of the Stations of the Cross created in plastered and painted masonry and connected to each other by walls in exposed stone ashlars. Period of construction: XVI to XVII centuries
