Inaugurated in 2003, the museum preserves the works donated by Piero Gàuli, one of the greatest contemporary artists, in the former municipality of Ramponio Verna.
Worthy of particular attention are above all are the paintings of the King Fame cycle which were inspired by the dramatic works of L.N. Andreev.
The layout of the works is intended to reconstruct moments in the life of the artist who, in this way, entrusts his own biography to his creations. Examples are the works that depict the "history and life of the second-lieutenant alpine gunner Piero Gàuli" which testify to his personal experience during the battle on the front of the Don, or the Green Drawings made with clear and decisive traits during the terrible detention in a Polish prison camp.
The museum and its arcade also house splendid ceramics from the Roman Umbrian period, frescoes and the master's tables.
