The Telo Mills Festival returns: a medieval journey between nature and tradition <\/strong><\/p>\n

On Saturday, August 9th, the Telo Park comes alive with unique events, cultural celebrations and gastronomic delights, offering visitors an immersion in history in the serenity of the Intelvi Valley.<\/p>\n

The Festa dei Mulini del Telo is back, with an appointment on August 9th, starting at 10:30 am.<\/p>\n

This is a "mosaic of medieval-style events" set within the Telo Park, an emblematic natural corner of the Intelvi Valley. This is a place where the most beautiful paths of the lower valley intertwine, offering pleasant strolls along the ancient trails marked on the "Valle Intelvi" map. These routes connect the villages of Dizzasco, Cerano, Schignano, Centro Valle Intelvi, and Argegno.<\/p>\n

Organized by the Amici di Dizzasco and Muronico Cultural Association, the festival is part of the PNRR program "La cultura che accogliente, Borghi comacini in rete" (The Culture that Welcomes, Comacini Villages in a Network). The event aims to highlight the historical and cultural heritage of the park's ancient watermills, works of rural engineering still visible by following a slow, eco-friendly walk along the riverbanks. Among these, the Traversa Mill, the so-called "La Romilda" Mill, and the "della Meridiana" Mill are the three still intact mills now used as private homes.<\/p>\n

During the Festival, the park comes alive with a series of unique and special events:<\/p>\n

HER MAJESTY'S FALCONERS AND THE KINGDOM OF BIRDS OF PREY; a falconry workshop, with a glove baptism and flights of birds of prey; the ORDER OF THE KNIGHTS OF LEGNANO; a field with medieval veils, period installations, and magicians; the MEDIEVAL MILLERS-BAKERS of the Giano Association; the COMPAGNIA DEI FERRI, blacksmiths and forgers who will demonstrate fire forging; the MINSTRELS OF AVALON, musicians and jugglers, will open the event by welcoming the public in Piazza Tonolli (traffic light square on the provincial road in Dizzasco) at 10:00 a.m., who, accompanied by medieval instruments, will take a short walk down to the Parco del Telo.<\/p>\n

Also present will be: HALL OF ARMS: Stella Splendens with their magnificent swords and the WINGED DRAGON ARCHERS OF THE HISTORICAL REPRESENTATION OF CERNOBBIO with the traditional archery school.<\/p>\n

For those who love challenges to the last pawn, there will also be the CHESS GAME TABLE, where you can challenge the master throughout the day.<\/p>\n

In addition, there will be two stands of local producers:<\/p>\n

La Finca Farm \u2013 Alta Valle Intelvi (zero-mile honey and preserves);<\/p>\n

Red Cow Farm \u2013 Laino (zero-mile goat dairy products)<\/p>\n

For the little ones, two workshops aimed at children:<\/p>\n

Printing press workshop held by Paolo Aquilini and Sandro Giana<\/p>\n

Nature workshop led by Martina Balatti.<\/p>\n

There are two hobby stands: creative compositions with felt and natural compositions using resins.<\/p>\n

The thematic table of the Cultural Association Amici di Dizzasco and Muronico will not be missing with books and artistic prints<\/p>\n
